Carla Evalynn Prescott
SINGLE || FORMER WAITRESS || PROTECTIVE || BOLD || SARCASTIC || HEADSTRONG
It's not secret that Carla was clearly nothing special before the outbreak. Actually, she was just a simple waitress trying to get by. She took pride in bubble baths, and reading the Daily Digest. Not to mention, she was victim of starting gossip about small-town celebrities. Carla lived in southern Florida, and when things really got bad. Well, she didn't hang around for long. Her first option was to go with her family to a safe house in Florida that a few military people had started. So, she took the shot and traveled towards the northern part of Florida. Once they made it, she had lost all of her family and the base had been overrun. Not sure of what to do, she got in a car and just drove.
She ran out of gas about three miles from her current location. Which is quite a few miles away from Atlanta. She's not too far from the Prison, and she gets by with random outings. She can be quite a spitfire, and she tends to be headstrong. Usually not thinking very well through with things, and is better at acting instead of speaking. When she is speaking, it's mostly consistent of sarcastic jokes, or bold remarks. She can come off as quite a bitch really, but that's just to protect herself. Deep down, she's slowly cracking, and after watching all of her family die... Carla doesn't want to break, and she hates coming off as weak. If she's too upset in a situation, she can sometimes cry. Which angers her even more so.

Elaine Lei Moss
SINGLE || FORMER POLICE OFFICER || STRONG || QUIET || BROKEN || VERY RESERVED
To say that Elaine enjoyed her job, was taking it lightly. Elaine had always wanted to be a Special Agent for the FBI. Though she was never considered in good physical condition. At a smaller age, she was teased and tormented by those that considered her dream unrealistic. She strove hard to achieve her goal in life, and after graduating she attended college. Following it with Police academy, and was finally given her first job at her local Police Station. She was just a simple officer, but it was the beginning of things. Over the course of several years, Elaine signed up for FBI at age 25. They kept rejecting her due to her ability and skill being quite low.
After she began training in hand-to-hand combat, and weaponry of all sorts. Elaine decided to try again, and was at the age of 33. She had heard word from the station that they were going to promote her from her current Deputy position, to Sheriff. Since the previous Sheriff was ready to retire. When the outbreak happened, she was on Duty and was one of the many cops helping the Military to 'terminate' the infected. Since no one really understood what the cause of things were, they suspected it was some sort of virus. They began terminating people, finding that the brain was the source of destruction.
Elaine was never one to speak often, or voice her opinions unless on the job. While she was working, she was great with commands and investigations. Most considered her an inspiration for as many cases as she cracked, and as many criminals as she locked up. After the outbreak, and the years too come. Elaine was quiet, and much of her life didn't change. She lives in a closed of Government facility. This facility also pertains to the President, and his family. She lives for the missions she is sent on, and gets by 'with a little help from her friends'.

Kara Leann Smith
SINGLE || ADOPTED MOTHER || STRONG || INDEPENDENT || EMOTIONAL || PROTECTIVE
Kara wasn't always this protective, or emotional. Before the apocalypse, Kara was Karaless. She didn't do much of anything other than goof off. She barely graduate High school, and college wasn't in her future. She didn't have any dreams. Kara was in a rut, and when she the apocalypse broke out she was unaware. She had been on drugs, and was hospitalized. When things broke out, her family closed off her hospital room in Alabama. They stayed in the hospital room, and waited for things to end. It was her grandparents, her parents, her sister, brother-in-law, and her nephew. They had went to visit her, and were suddenly forced into one room. Military people began shooting people, but before they could reach the 5th floor. Well, let's just say they didn't make it that high... The family locked the door, shoving whatever they could in front of it. They were safe as long as none of those fleshies got through the door. The window was too high, and it became a resort to seeing the world around them.
The family watched the town fall to ruins around them, and Kara woke up only a few hours later. Her monitor was still going, due to the power sources not being shot off just yet. The lot of them started hoarding supplies and making homemade weapons at that point. They barely escaped the hospital without anyone being attacked, though they came close. At one point, her grandfather was grabbed by his jacket, but he quickly discarded it. The jumped into their large van, and off they went. Being sure to buckle in Flynn, her nephew, and though she was still a little disoriented from the overdose and drug usage. Kara seemed to realize her life or death situation. Now, she had a family to take care of.
From that moment on, Kara was the planner and the strength of the bunch. Kara and her brother-in-law did the heavy lifting. They worked together, and were a great team.
